Real Estate Law
I represent clients in mediation, arbitration and litigation of real estate disputes and transactions involving all aspects of real estate. My litigation expertise includes specific performance, quiet title, partition, breach of contract, fraud, broker's commissions, breach of lease, etc. My expertise in transactions includes drafting leases, sales agreements, deeds of trust, secured promissory notes, security agreements, UCC-1 filings, etc.

Civil Litigation and Appeals
I have extensive expertise in general litigation matters of all types in both state and federal courts. I also have expertise in appeals of judgments and in writs of mandate arising out of civil litigation. This includes all processes to perfect the appeal or writ, researching applicable law, writing briefs and arguing the matter before the appellate court.

Business Law
I represent clients in a wide variety of business transactions and business disputes. This includes business disputes of all types, and the forming of business entities such as corporations, partnerships, LLC's, joint ventures, and the drafting of agreements of all kinds, including shareholder agreements, buy-sell agreements, stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, security agreements, UCC-1 filings, etc.

Contracts
I am highly experienced in negotiating and drafting contracts, litigating contract performance disputes, and evaluating the appropriate remedies for breached contracts with an emphasis on business contracts and on real estate contracts such as leases, deeds of trust, notes, etc.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is the process of resolving legal disputes without costly litigation and trial. These processes are primarily mediation and arbitration. I have had extensive experience as both an arbitrator and mediator. Additionally, I analyze the dispute in question and advise clients when a form of ADR will meet their needs better than traditional litigation. It is my belief that most disputes can best be resolved by mediation or arbitration.
